Yoga Nidra is a very powerful relaxation and awakening technique given by Swami Satyananda from the Bihar school of Yoga.
When one is asleep, there remains a state of potentiality, a form of awareness that is awake and fully alert to the outer situations. Training the mind, it is possible to utilize this state. In Yoga Nidra we are not aiming to sleep, but to find the space between awake and sleep, the theta brainwave state, where the mind is very open to suggestion and the power of the mind is fully available.
In this Yoga Nidra we are exploring and awakening the chakras with the bij sounds of each petal. Chakra awareness is often practiced with the bij "seed" sounds of the tattwas "elements" Lam, Vam, Ram, Yam, Ham, Ohm. In this practice. Enjoy awakening the chakra with opening each aspect by listening to the chanting of the sound of the petals.
Each chakra is visualised as a lotus flower, each petal has a sound, a letter of the sanskrit alphabet. All 50 letters are represented in a petals.
